HUNDREDS ATTEND NISA EXPO 2023 WITH LOCAL FOODBANKS SET TO BENEFIT

Date

Nisa celebrated a successful Expo event this week with hundreds of retailers and suppliers attending Stoneleigh Park.

The two-day event took place on 17 /18 October 2023 and saw attendance of over 200 stands from brands across the food-to-go, chilled, frozen, grocery, licensed and non-foods categories.

The Nisa village also included an enhanced format and development area with various zones to help and inspire customers in developing their store, space planning zones and the opportunity to discuss fascia options, design advice and more.

There were several industry sessions led by the event’s sponsors throughout the two days with focus on what is happening in convenience, how to grow specific categories and the benefit of the Co-op own brand in-store. Wednesday’s Women in Retail panel proved to be a popular session with over 50 attendees packing out the stage area to hear from five female retail experts.

Retailers, suppliers and Nisa colleagues were also treated to an Alice in Wonderland themed gala dinner on the Tuesday evening with numerous Nisa retailers and suppliers taking home well-earned awards and tributes.
Following the event, leftover food and drink products from attending exhibitors were donated to local foodbanks in Coventry.

Nisa Managing Director Peter Batt added: “I’d like to thank all retailers, exhibitors, colleagues and event agencies for making this year’s Nisa Expo event a really successful one. This two-day event is always a fantastic opportunity to come together to reflect on the year and consider new ways of working together over the coming weeks and months.”

Valerie Aston, Director at The Proudfoot Group and MADL Trustee, said: “I’ve been to the Nisa Expo event for several years now and it is always fantastic to come together and spend time with other retailers, suppliers and the colleagues of Nisa. This year was particularly special for Proudfoots having been awarded MADL Charity Champion of the Year and I would recommend for all retailers to work as closely as possible with the MADL team for the benefit of the communities they serve.”
